1.Awareness Programme on Gender and gender based
violences for hostel students
The Secretary , Sadhana Foundation had participated two
awareness programme on Gender and Gender based violences
for hostel students in the month of August and September
.Surprisingly all the hostel inmates participated in it and
shared their own experiences of different types of violences
facing by them .Some documentary picture have presented to
them on the above topics to make them more understand .The
students of different districts also shared their societal and
cultural barriers for the progress of the society aswell.Finally ,
they participted so actively in the group discussion and
presenation .

2.Youth Leadership Capacity Building Camp
Organised By:-Sadhana Foundation and Kishan Vikash
Trust
From 20th Nov. to 22 nd Nov.2019
The three days training programme was designed to enhance
the leadership quality of the young social activists and students
with social orientation. Sixty students participated in the three
days training programme and got training in six thematic areas
namely Indian economy and issues of Employment; Social
movement and issues of positive discrimination;
Constitution and Rights; Tools of accountability and
Participatory Governance; Youth aspiration and agenda
for 21 st
Century; Emerging challenges, gender issues and
alternative solutions.
The trainers used various methods to impart the training and
to make itparticipatory. Lectureship method was used to the
minimum. Small documentaries relating to emerging issues
and problems were shown tothe participants and group work
were assigned to enable the participants from various areas
express themselves properly. Women participants were
particularly encouraged to put forth their views and
understand the gender aspect of societal order.
Our distingushed guests and resource persons were
Dr.Sunilam,Mr.Prafulla Samantara, Mr. Pravat Kumar ,
Mr.R.C.Pradhan ,Mr.kalyan Anand, Mr.Jabarsingh,
Mr.N.K.Mohapatra and Ms.Sujata Mohapatra .
The three day camp was well organised and managed by Mr.
Saumya Ranjan swain, E.D , Mr. suryakant Mohapatra,
treasurer and Ms.Jyostna Mohanty , Trustee of Sadhana
Foundation.

3.Role of Women in Social Progress
Sadhana Foundation , Bhubaneswar and Narishakti Trust ,
Jagatsinghpur , jointly organised a day long workshop on “The
role of women in social progress on 17 th of December 2019 at
Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan , Patapur , Jagatsinghpur.The Secretary ,
Sadhana Foundation , Social Worker Manorama Khatua ,
Advocate Manjulata Rout , Ms. Pratima Lenka , Panchayat level
MBK of Mission Shakti and Ms. Meenabala Swain from OLM
graced the occasion and delivered their speech on domestic
violences and violences against women.
We discussed there on different types of violences carried out
by individals as well as states.Some of the forms of violences
perpetrated by individuals are rape , domestic violences ,
sexual harashment , acid throughing , female infanticide,
prenatal sex selection , obstetric violence and mob
violence.The gathering also discussed the harmful customary
and traditional practices such as honorkilling , dowry violence,
marriage by abduction, forced marriage , sexual violenes,
forced abduction , women trafficking etc.Many of them also
shared their own experiences how they are facing in their day
to day life .More than 200 women leaders had paticipated so
actively .
Finally Ms. Anupama Sethy , Secretary , Narishakti Trust has
given the vote of thanks to every one.

4.Celebration of International women’s day……8 th March
We celebrated International Women’s day on 8 th march 2020
with five area level federations such as Ekata, Adarsha, Shree,
Dharitri and jay Sriram of ward no 29 at Unit .9 flat area ,
Bhubaneswar where more than 250 women leaders
participated in a awareness rally which was followed by a
public meeting.Ms. Sujata mohapatra , Secretary , Sadhana
Foundation and Mr. A.raju , Programme Coordinator , SWATI ,
Bhubaneswar jointly facilitated the programme with the
support of Ex. Corporator, Sk. Nizamudin bhai.
International Women’s day is a day when women are
recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions ,
whether national , ethnic, linguistic , cultural economic or
political . It is an occasion for looking back on past struggles
and accomplishments and more importantly , for looking
ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await
future generations of women.
The theme focus on Gender Equality , greater awareness of
discrimination and a celebration of women’s achievents.
