Sadhana Foundation presented " Sadhana Cultural Programme " at Himmat Nagar in Sabarkanth district of Gujarat on the occasion of Republic Day.
The 32 member team performed Odishi and sambalpuri dance & drew a great applause from the Gujaratic audience including the Chief Minister.

A three days work camp under the programme of NEAC from 7th Feb. to 9th Feb. was organized by Institute for Youth and Disaster Preparedness grass root
level organization of Sananayapally, khurda district which is working on Disaster Preparedness and Environment education in its field areas. The programme
was supported by Sadhana Foundation .Total 27 youths and college students had participated in that camp. They developed the Herbal garden at sananayapally
which was in a ruinous condition and exchanged ideas on various developmental models.The youths and local villagers in their feedback urged the organization
as a matter of annual event for the holistic growth of the youths.

REPORT OF RTI TRAINING PROGRAMME AT REDHAKHOL,SAMBALPUR.
A Training programme on Right to Information was organized by Sadhana Foundation, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Soochana Adhikar & Samajeek Samikshya Manch,
Redhakhol on 25th July.2014 at I.B. of Redhakhol, sambalpur.
The objectives of the programme were as follows.
1- To provide the training on Right to Information Act, Odisha public Service Act & whistle Blower Act.
2- To promote socio- political interaction through use of effective tools by youths.
3- To provide them hands-on assistance for effective interaction.
4- To make them aware about different welfare schemes of the Panchayatiraj System.
Total 56 participants attended this training programme which continued fron 10am. to 5pm. Participants represented total 4 blocks such as Redhakhol,Jujumara ,N akti Deula & Maneswar of Sambalpur District . The programme was inaugurated by MR .Anjan Kumar Mishra . Mr, Suryakanta Mohapatra & Mrs. Sujata Mohapatra acted as trainer.

A report on the training programme on Active citizen & Accountable Governance.
With the support of "SADHANA FOUNDATION" a daylong training programme was organized by Gediapalli Soochana Adhikar Mancha, Khordha on DT. 17th August 2014 at Gediapalli
Mancha Office was titled as "Active Citizenship & Accountable Governance."
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Bhagabat Mohapatra, a social activist & retired Health Worker with the presence of Mr. Nishikant Mohapatra, Convener, OSAM,
Mr. Soumya Ranjan swain, Executive Director of SADHANA FOUNDATION & Mr. Soumya Ranjan Mohanty, an Active Volunteer of AAP, Odisha State unit. Mr. Srikant Kumar Tripathy,
on behalf of the Manch greeted everyone & shared the objectives of the congregation after a long time, where 4(four) trainees were already ready from three blocks such
as Bolgarh, Begunia and Banki for the whole day breakstroming.
At first Mr. Soumya Ranjan Swain, The E.D. of Sadhana Foundation shared his ideas on the vision & mission of Sadhana Foundation that how it is committed to serve
the poor and marginalized section of the society by getting access to the basic needs of life and there is need for qualitative and comprehensive work for development
& Welfare of poor, neglected, marginalized, unprivileged sections of the people such as Children, women, aged, scheduled Caste, Tribes & other weaker sections of the
people of the society.
Mr. Soumya Ranjan Mohanty has expressed his views on the movement and Role of Youth to fight against corruption and injustice by applying different tools like Right
to Information Act: A moral weapon for the poor.
The theme session was explained by Mr. Nishikant Mohapatra on the scope for Active Citizenship and the importance of Youth Leadership now-a-days. According to him using
Right to Information as a tool of transparency and accountability, it has thrived to expose corruption and to provide proper entitlements of various welfare schemes to
the target groups. He also described the major salient features of R.T.I Act and its implementation against corruption with some examplarycase studies and success
stories of Odisha.
After lunch break the practical session was started with fill up of Form (A) by which a citizen can seek information from the different public authorities. All the
trainees had practiced the same and participated in the question framing session actively. A doubt clear session was held that time and they shared their local area
problems freely that how they can solve it.
In the interim of the session, Mr. Soumya Ranjan Mohanty sang a revolutionary song as an energizer for the trainees.
Then all the trainees had developed an action plan for future activities in their Panchayat area and village level on different issues and problems with the presence
of all resource persons. And they also decided to come Mancha Office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. of every Sunday for R.T.I filing and discussion on other developmental
issues.
At last, Mr. Srikant Ku. Tripathy has given the vote of thanks to everyone on behalf of his forum for a whole day warmly contribution in order to a transparency nation
building and then the Programme ended at 5 p.m.

Sadhana dance and music festival, 2014: A foray into cultural youth leadership
Sadhana foundation organized the cultural youth leadership programme on 4th December at rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The first annual event drew a packed audience
and it was a huge success in terms of performance and arrangement. Eighty-seven artists from the back ground of dance and music showed their talent and took the stage
to a new height. The music direction by the emerging music director Mr Anil Kumar Mohapatra and the Choreography by Odissi dance guru Mr Rinku Sahu drew critical
appreciation from the public as well as the veterans in the field. Apart from the two, Odishi duet by Aniket and Niroj; Pooja and Mitali also drew heavy applause
from the audience. Gotipua dance by the Aradhana dance group and Sambalpuri dance by the Sambalpuri Kalaparishad were the high points of the programme.
Hon'ble minister of sports and youth services, SC/ST development (T.W.) Odisha Mr Sudam Marandi, Eminent singer Mr Prafulla Kar, Odishi dance Mrs Minati Mishra,
Eminent director and actor Mr Ashrumochan Mohanty, Regional Manager, Oxfam India Mr Akshya Kumar Biswal and Secretary , aaina Mrs Sneha Mishra graced the occasion
and encouraged the artists and the organizers for a better cultural regime.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT program at Banasingh,Dhenkanal from 21st March 2015 to 24th March 2015.
Sadhana Foundation organised a Four day long YOUTH LEADERSHIP program at Banasingh,Dhenkanal from 21st March 2015 to 24th March 2015.
The main objective of this program was to empower the youth by providing the training program on RTI & Citizen Service Act, Prevention of Drug abuse, Panchayatiraj System, Disaster Management, Food Security & Social Audit, Politics & Constitution, Motivation, Social Media, and Cultural Program etc.

A 3 days residential Youth Leadership Training Programme from 5th May to 7th May
A 3 days residential Youth Leadership Training Programme from 5th May to 7th May was organised by sadhana Founadation at Shramik Bhawan , Paradeep , Jagatsinghpur with the support of AITUC,Paradeep.Total 43 youths from the district of Kendrapara,Jagatsingh pur and Jajpur participated actively and learnt on many topics.Eminent resource persons and social activists from various fields interacted with the participants and also provided hands on training on Panchayatiraj system ,various Govt.schemes ,Right to Infotmation Act,Food secutity and social Audit ,communication and leadership ,social medial,women and violence ,role of youth in health services with the support of various skills and methodologies.
20. A 4 days residential leadership training programme from 30th may to 2nd June 2015
Sadhana Foundation organized A YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM at Bandhagada,Kandhamal from 30th May-2nd June,2015.Youths numbering 45 from FIVE southern districts of Odisha had participated in the training. During these FOUR day long training camp, the participants got a strong picture of different Welfare Schemes(Govt.Programs),the role of Panchayati raj system and the need of good governance which ensures the benefits of these schemes reach its intended beneficiaries. The sessions were also devoted to educate the trainees on PESA Act, the Forrest Rights Act, the Right to Education Act.AS the Sadhana Foundation strongly believes in Gender Equality, thus deliberation on issues and challenges of Gender was one of the objectives of this training program. Youth Leaders were trained to use various accountability tools, RTI, and other legal provisions effectively to check CORRUPTION and bring TRANSPARENCY into the SYSTEM. The participants were encouraged to show their CREATIVE part through cultural activities performed by the participants only.
21. A 4 days residential leadership training programme from 23rd June to 26th June 2015
We have completed our fourth residential youth leadership training programme successfully at Baripada Stadium, Baripada, and Mayurbhanj. 53 youths from different remote areas and colleges i.e. Baripada college, Udala College, Bhogarai College, M.P.C College Mayurbhanj and Betnoti College has participated actively. Total 13 no. of girls and 40 no. of boys participated in this training programme. The participants got oriented on religions and caste by Mr. Ramshankar, Right to Information Act by Mr. Nishkanta Mohapatra, Panchyati Raj System and social welfare Schemes by Mr. Ranjan kumar Sahoo, Superstition and Dogmatism by Mr. Nirod Baran Khuntia, Right to Education Act by Ms. Monarama Badapanda, communication, leadership and personality Development by Mr. Sishira Sathpathy, youth problems and solutions by Mr. Gopabandhu Babu during these days. Different methodologies like lecture ,lecture cum discussion ,focussed group discussion,play,Role play ,question answer session and by using different prop ,trainers have took the sessions in a participatory way. A small cultural programme was also followed by the youths during the sessions. The trustees of Sadhana Foundation assisted the trainees in different activities during the session.

They helped and cooperated a lot in logistic support and necessary arrangements.

The participants drew out an action plan to use the training inputs after they go back to their places.

With the support of Yusuf Meherally Centre, Odisha Chapter, Sadhana
Foundation organized a day long programme on “Youth Leadership” on 14 th
October 2016 at YMC premises. Around 50 participants attended the programme
and discussed on various topics i.e. Panchayatiraj System and Social welfare
Schemes, Right to Education, Communication, Leadership & personality
development through different methodologies.

Sadhana Foundation, Bhubaneswar, Odisha had organized a Skill
Development Programme on 16 th November 2016 at Bandhagarh, Kandhamall in
collaboration with SWATI (Social Welfare Agency & Training Industries)
Kandhamaal. Nearabout 45 trainees from 8 Districts – Kandhamal, Boud,
Nayagarh, Koraput, kalahandi, nabarangpur and Deogarh trained on skil;l
Development (Leadership & communication, Influence and persuation in
Leadership, Essential Management Skills for Emerging leaders, Negotiation Skills:
strategies for increased effectiveness).
Er. Harishankar Rout, Secretary, SWATI whole heartedly supported this
programme and also team. SWATI was the part of this programme.
25.Dt. 21/11/2016, 22/11/2016- Youth Development Programme
We organized a “Youth Development Programme” at Gandhi Labour
Foundation premises with the support of Lokashakti Abhijan, Odisha, 52 Youths
(both male and female) from different districts of Odisha joined there and
discussed on various issues of Odisha till late night as it was a residence
programme there. Members of civil Society Organization, Women forum, Some
youths participated actively and discussed on various topics like Right to
Information, Right to Education, Panchayatiraj System, Govt. Schemes and
facilities for Youths, understanding democracy & mainstreaming Gender etc.
The objectives of this programme were:
To improve the lives of the children and adolescents by meeting their basic
physical, developmental and social needs and by helping them to build the
competencies needed to become successful Adults.
Mr. Prafulla samantara, Chief of Lokshakti Abhiyan, Mr. Lingaraj, Socialistic
Leader, Mr. Sudhis Pattnaik, a dynamic writer, Mr. Madhusudan Das, state
Convenor of National Youth Project (NYP) trained to our youths on the above
mentioned topic.
26.Dt.21/12/201 –Awareness Programme on Women Empowerment, Kandhamaal
Sadhana Foundation with the support of SWATI, Paburia had organized an
awareness Programme on 21 st December 2016 at Paburia Gram Panchayat Office
premises. Mr. Prashanta Kumar Satpathy, Chairman of SWATI inaugurated the
programme and shared the objectives among the crowd. The Saropanch of
Paburia Gram Panchayats was the Chief Guest of that day and discussed the
initiatives taken by the Government for women empowerment.
Around 100 women participated there and shared their views on women
empowerment. Mrs. Sujata Mohapatra, Secretary of Sadhana Foundation
facilitated the programme and planned with them to organize some programme
in their local areas.
27.Dt.12/02/2017 – Youth Camp on Right to Information.
Awareness cum Assistance Camp on Right to Information was organized by
Sadhan Foundation at Lohia Academy, Bhubaneswar on 12 th February 2017. 120
participants from different wards of Bhubaneswar joined there and became
aware on the objectives, discourse, sections, Articles, fees, fines, forms, salient
features, fine and compensations, Role of PIO, FAA, State Informaton Commission
etc.
All were filled up the RTI application form and set some questions with a
group discussion on government facilities.
The participants learnt how to fill up the forms and the modalities of
question setting. Their queries were discussed in the forum and addressed by our
resource person.
